Friday, Nov. 29, 5 – 8 p.m.: Window Decorating Contest
Immerse yourself in holiday creativity during the second night of the Holiday Promenade! Local artists and shop owners will transform storefronts into stunning holiday displays, making your shopping experience even more magical. Wander through the East Village to see these beautiful windows come to life.
- The trolley will run from 5 – 9 p.m. each Friday of Holiday Promenade.

About Holiday Promenade
The Greater Des Moines Partnership and the Historic East Village Neighborhood Association will spread holiday cheer throughout Downtown Des Moines (DSM) during the Holiday Promenade 2024. The 23rd annual Holiday Promenade will begin on Friday, Nov. 22 and continue each Friday through Dec. 20.
The Holiday Promenade is an exciting, free celebration full of activities, entertainment, shopping and family-friendly fun. A number of activities will be scheduled throughout the five Fridays, including the inaugural tree lighting at Brenton Skating Plaza. During the Holiday Promenade dates, Historic East Village retailers, restaurants and attractions are encouraged to remain open until 8 p.m.
