Become a Historic East Village, INC. (HEV) member by filling out a Membership Form!
The Historic East Village is a thriving mixed-use neighborhood in the heart of Des Moines. The mission of the HEV is to support the preservation, promotion and development of the East Village community.
We work closely with residents and businesses to organize events, assist in revitalization efforts, encourage economic development and improve the quality of life for all who live and work in our neighborhood.
Attend monthly board meeting the last Monday of the month at 5:30 p.m. (check our calendar for location).
Anyone wishing to address the board may do so by written request (e-mail request is acceptable) by the Wednesday prior to the meeting date. Send requests by email to: president@eastvillagedesmoines.com or call Josh at (515) 661-4978.
HEV has five committees that meet monthly! Everyone is welcome to attend.
- Business/Marketing Committee meets the 2nd Monday each month at 5:00 p.m. Check calendar for meeting place.
- Membership/Neighborhood Committee meets the 2nd Monday each month at 6:00 p.m. Check calendar for meeting place.

- Action/Design/Beautification Committee
- Events Committee
